The whole cookie policy in one paragraph
AimsCraft sets seven cookies in total and not one of them is an advertising cookie. Four are strictly necessary — your session, a CSRF token, a cart reference and your cookie choice itself. Two are functional, remembering your currency and dismissed banner. One is a first-party analytics cookie you can refuse. Your bag, wishlist, compare list, theme and recent searches are not cookies at all: they live in your own browser’s local storage under keys beginning ss., are never transmitted to us, and disappear the moment you clear site data.

2The categories we use
We use three categories: strictly necessary, functional and analytics. We do not use a fourth, and there is no advertising or profiling category to opt out of because none exists here.
- Strictly necessary. Session identity, security tokens, cart continuity and your recorded cookie choice. Set on every visit, cannot be refused, and never used for analysis.
- Functional. Remembering your display currency and the promotional banner you dismissed. Refusing them costs you a little convenience and nothing else.
- Analytics. One first-party cookie that counts a visit so we can see which pages fail and which searches return nothing. Aggregated, never sold, never joined to your account.
- Advertising and profiling. Not used. No pixels, no audience lists, no retargeting, no data broker.
4What we keep in your browser instead of a cookie
Eleven keys, all prefixed ss., hold your bag, lists and preferences on your own device. They are never sent to our servers, never shared between your devices, and vanish when you clear site data.
| Key | Holds | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
ss.cart |
Your bag: product ids, quantities, the size and colour you chose, and a price snapshot | Until cleared | Local storage · necessary |
ss.wishlist |
Product ids you saved | Until cleared | Local storage · functional |
ss.compare |
Up to four product ids in the comparison tray | Until cleared | Local storage · functional |
ss.recent |
The last twelve products you viewed | Until cleared | Local storage · functional |
ss.coupon |
A coupon code you applied to the bag | Until cleared or invalid | Local storage · necessary |
ss.currency |
Display currency code | Until cleared | Local storage · functional |
ss.ship |
Delivery speed chosen in the bag — standard, express or pickup | Until cleared | Local storage · functional |
ss.theme |
Light, dark or system | Until cleared | Local storage · functional |
ss.accent |
Accent colour preset | Until cleared | Local storage · functional |
ss.searches |
Your last eight on-site searches, shown as shortcuts in the search panel | Until cleared | Local storage · functional |
ss.announce |
The id of the announcement you closed | Until cleared | Local storage · functional |
Every one of these reads and writes is wrapped so that a browser in private mode, or one configured to block site data, degrades gracefully instead of breaking the page. You lose the saved bag; you do not lose the shop.
5Third parties and embedded content
The only third-party request this site makes is a stylesheet from Google Fonts. There is no tag manager, no chat widget, no embedded video player and no social pixel.
Scripts, icons, images and the whole catalogue are served from aimscraft.com. That is a deliberate architectural choice: a site that loads nothing from an ad network cannot leak you to one, whatever its policy says.
Payment happens on our gateway’s hosted page, which sets its own strictly necessary cookies for fraud prevention under its own policy. If we ever embed a video or a map, this section and the table above will be updated before the embed ships, not afterwards.
6How to control cookies
Use the cookie banner to accept or refuse the optional categories, or take the blunter route and manage cookies in your browser — both work, and neither breaks browsing.
Refusing the functional and analytics categories leaves the four strictly necessary cookies in place. Blocking those as well is your right, but checkout will stop working, because there is no way to run a secure payment without a session and a CSRF token.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies, and See all site data and permissions to clear this site alone.
- Safari (macOS): Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data. On iOS: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Any browser: a private or incognito window keeps nothing after you close it.
Clearing site data for aimscraft.com removes the cookies and every
ss. storage key in one action. Your bag, wishlist and comparison tray go with them,
so move anything you want to keep into an account first.
7Consent, signals and changes
Your choice is recorded for twelve months, a Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a refusal of everything optional, and we ask again whenever this list changes.
You can change your mind at any time from the cookie link in the footer; the previous choice is overwritten immediately and any cookie you have withdrawn consent for is deleted on the next page load rather than at its expiry date.
Version 2.9, dated 1 September 2026, replaced version 2.8 of 4 February 2026. It documented the
AWSALB load-balancer cookie, which had previously been described only in general
terms, and added the browser-storage table. If we add a cookie, this page is updated and the
banner reappears before the cookie is set.
8Questions we get asked about cookies
Five straight answers about what this site does and does not put on your machine.
Do you use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel?
Neither. There is no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no cross-site tracker anywhere on aimscraft.com. Analytics are first-party and aggregated, served from our own domain, with IP addresses truncated after thirty days. The only third-party request the site makes at all is a stylesheet from Google Fonts.
What happens if I block all cookies?
Browsing and reading work perfectly. Checkout does not: the session and CSRF cookies are what keep your bag attached to you and stop a third party submitting an order in your name. If you block everything you can still browse, compare and read policies, but the payment step will fail.
Is my shopping bag stored in a cookie?
No. Your bag, wishlist, compare list, recently viewed items, theme and currency live in your browser under localStorage keys beginning ss. — for example ss.cart. That data never travels to our servers on its own and is not shared between devices. Clearing site data empties the bag.
How do I delete what is already stored?
Clear site data for aimscraft.com in your browser settings: Chrome and Edge under Privacy and security, Safari under Settings for aimscraft.com, Firefox under Cookies and Site Data. That removes both the cookies and every ss. storage key in one action, including your saved bag.
Do you honour Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track?
Yes for Global Privacy Control: a GPC signal is treated as a refusal of the optional functional and analytics cookies, with no banner interaction needed. Do Not Track is not honoured as a standard because it was never specified in a way anyone implemented consistently, but since we run no advertising trackers the practical result is the same.
