How to read this table
How to choose between these products
Compare on the row that changes how the piece wears, not the
row with the biggest number. For cloth that row is weight: a 200 GSM jersey and a
13.5 oz denim behave nothing alike, and a 650-fill down jacket carries a January morning that
8 oz waxed cotton will not. Everything else — buttons, lining, box — is finishing and occasion,
not warmth.
Start with the cloth row
Weight, weave and fibre decide almost everything: GSM on jersey, ounces on
denim and waxed cotton, fill power on down, and whether the wool came off a hand loom or a mill.
Two shirts at the same price can sit a whole season apart on that row alone.
Then read the measurements, not the size
The letter on the label means little across departments: winter wear is cut a
size roomier so a sweater closes underneath. Compare the chest, shoulder and length rows in inches
against a piece you already wear, and the fit row stops being a guess.
Only then judge the finishing
Horn buttons, a taped seam, a quilted lining and a gift box are worth paying
for when they are the point — a wedding coat, a jacket that lives outdoors. For a shirt worn
five days a week, the cloth row and the measurement rows decide it.

Why
Upper Wear
Fabric and GSM, then collar and cuff
Poplin, oxford, flannel and linen wear nothing alike across a year, whatever the price says.
Bottom Wear
Rise, waist and inside leg
The chinos, jeans and formal trousers sit within an inch of each other on the rise, so the waist and inside leg in inches decide it rather than the fit name.
Outerwear
Shell weight and fill power
8 oz waxed cotton is for rain and wind; 650-fill down is for a January morning.
Winter Wear
Cloth, loom and hand work
A pit-loom pattu overcoat takes about forty days from fleece to coat, and a Gurez cardigan about forty hours on the needles; a mill blend never will, whatever it costs.
Questions
Questions about comparing
How many products can I compare at once?
Four. The table stays readable on a laptop at four columns and still scrolls
cleanly on a phone. Adding a fifth product shows a notice instead of silently dropping one, so remove
a column first using the small close button above any product image, then add the new one from the
picker.
Why are some cells tinted and others plain?
A tinted cell means the products do not agree on that row, so it is a real
point of difference worth reading. Plain cells are identical across every column and can be skipped.
On the price and rating rows the single best value — lowest price, highest rating — is picked out in
green rather than the neutral tint.
Which specifications appear as rows?
Price, rating, availability, brand, category and origin always appear, then
every specification that at least two of the compared products share, then dispatch and returns. A
spec that only one product publishes is left out, because a row with three empty cells tells you
nothing useful.
Is my comparison saved if I close the tab?
Yes, in that browser. The list lives in your browser's local storage on this
device, not in an account, so it survives a reload and a closed tab but does not follow you to your
phone. Clearing site data or using a private window starts you back at the three pieces the page
ships with.
Can I buy straight from the comparison?
Yes. The last row of the table carries an add-to-bag button per column, which
adds one unit in the default size without opening the bag drawer, so you can keep comparing. For a
different size, colour or waist, open the full product page from the title link and choose the
variant there.
